Each of the following links takes you to a critical thinking exercise on a physiology topic. In each exercise, you will be presented with a number of sentences, of which only some are correct, indicated at the top of that exercise.
Sentences were generated with some assistance from ChatGPT
Each exercise can be used in 3 ways by teachers:
- Level 1 - students tick boxes to indicate which statements on the topic they believe are correct, and submit their answers to see if they are correct. Responses are evaluated in three stages. At the first attempt, students are told only the number of sentences they correctly identified to be correct, but not which ones. At the second attempt, students are told the number of sentences they correctly identified to be correct, and which ones those were, but not told which of the total set of sentences are correct. Finally, at the third attempt, students are shown which of the total set of sentences are correct.
- Level 2 - after students complete level 1, the teacher can select 5 incorrect sentences and ask students to determine why those sentences are wrong.
- Level 3 - after completing level 2, teachers can then ask students to rewrite the exercise with all sentences now being correct (i.e., students will have to rewrite all the incorrect sentences so that they are now correct)
